Industries using Saviour Falcon Hi-EH Safety Boot

  1. Primary Metal Production & Smelting5This is the most common environment for foundry boots. Workers are in constant proximity to liquid metal that can reach temperatures between 1,000- and 1,600-degree heat.
  • Steel Mills: For workers operating blast furnaces or handling liquid steel ladles.
  • Aluminum Smelters: Used during the electrolysis process and when pouring molten aluminum into molds.
  • Copper & Precious Metal Refineries: Where ore is melted down and purified.
  1. Metal Casting and Fabrication. In these facilities, molten metal is poured into moulds to create parts for other industries (like car engines or plumbing fixtures).
  • Iron & Steel Foundries: Workers pouring “grey iron” or ductile iron require the quick-release feature of foundry boots in case of a spill.
  • Die Casting Shops: Often involving zinc or magnesium alloys.
  • Investment Casting: Used for high-precision parts where workers handle hot ceramic shells and molten alloys.
  1. Welding and Heavy Fabrication – While standard work boots are common for general welding, specialized foundry-style boots are used in heavy-duty environments.
  • Ship Building: Large-scale welding generates massive amounts of slag and sparks that can burn through standard laces.
  • Heavy Machinery Manufacturing: When fabricating massive steel structures, the risk of heavy plate impact combined with high-heat welding makes these boots a standard requirement.

  1. Energy and Utilities
  • Power Plants: Specifically, in coal-fired plants where workers may deal with hot ash or furnace maintenance.
  • Waste-to-Energy Facilities: Handling high-temperature incineration by-products.
