A rope lanyard and a big karabiner are commonly used in various industries, particularly those involving work at height or heavy equipment.

What is a Rope Lanyard?

A rope lanyard is a short, flexible rope with a loop or attachment point at one or both ends.  It’s primarily used for fall protection, Work positioning, Restraining etc.

Fall Protection: When connected to a safety harness and a secure anchor point, a lanyard can prevent a worker from falling to a lower level.
Work Positioning: Lanyards can also be used to maintain a worker’s position while performing tasks at height.
Restraint: In some cases, lanyards can be used to restrict a worker’s movement to prevent them from reaching a hazardous area.

Big Karabiner
A karabiner is a metal loop with a gate that can be opened and closed. A big karabiner is simply a larger version of a standard karabiner.  The main uses are:

Connect Lanyards: Karabiners are often useful to connect a lanyard to a safety harness or an anchor point.
Attach Equipment: Big karabiners can also be used to attach tools, equipment, or other items to a lanyard or harness.
Secure Objects: In some cases, karabiners can use to secure objects or equipment to a fixed point.
Common Applications:

Construction: For workers performing tasks on scaffolding, ladders, or roofs.
Industrial Maintenance: For workers inspecting or repairing equipment at height.
Outdoor Activities: For climbers, hikers, and other outdoor enthusiasts.
